Privacy

There are no accounts, no wallet connection and no advertising trackers. The only cookie the site sets remembers which language you chose. Nothing you do here is tied to an identity, because there are no identities.

If you file a correction, the site stores what you wrote, the link you supplied, and — only if you provide one — an email address so you can be answered. The text and the link become public on the corrections tracker. Your email address is never published, is used only to reply to you, and is deleted 90 days after the item is resolved.

Nothing else you do on this site is stored against you.

One cookie, named NEXT_LOCALE, remembering whether you chose English or Spanish. It is strictly necessary to give you the language you asked for, it contains nothing but that choice, and it is not shared with anyone.

One other thing is stored in your browser, and it is not a cookie: if this site offers to switch you to another language and you decline, that dismissal is remembered in your browser's local storage so it stops asking. It never leaves your device and is never sent anywhere.

There is no cookie banner because there is nothing here to consent to. If analytics or any third-party embed is ever added, that changes, and a consent banner will be added with it.

The site runs on hosting and database services that necessarily process requests in order to serve pages. It sends email only to its own maintainer, never to visitors. Automated proposal summaries are generated on a schedule, from proposal titles that are already public, and never from anything a visitor does.

Nothing about a visitor is sold, or shared for anyone else's purposes. There is no advertising, no analytics and no data broker.

One transfer does happen, and it is named here. When a correction is filed, the text of it is emailed to the maintainer through Resend, the service that delivers that mail. The email address you may have supplied is not part of that message — it stays in the database, and is used only to reply to you.

This site publishes figures about organizations, including public blockchain addresses that appear in voting records. Those addresses are published by the sources the site reads, and are shown as those sources publish them. daohaus.com makes no attempt to identify the people behind an address, and will not add such information.

If you believe something published here about an organization is wrong, the corrections tracker is the way to say so.

For anything about data this site publishes, use the corrections tracker — it is public, numbered, and answered within 7 days. It is the only contact route, so a privacy request filed there is public like any other item.
